CHEMICAL PROCESSOR OPERATOR EXPERIENCE

Able to successfully perform work necessary to operate, control, adjust and regulate temperatures, pressures, levels, flow rates and other operating variables for the production of quality and on-spec products.

Responsible for maintaining current, detailed knowledge and understanding of process unit equipment, unit operations, principles of operating methods used in the process and the effects of operations on equipment involved.

Accurately monitor and record raw materials both received and shipped out.

Conduct routine monitoring of pumps, compressors and storage tanks as needed.

Prepare blend tanks and meters, gather raw materials and check inventory.

Blend performance chemicals (catalysts, amines, polyols) in batch process.

Perform preventative maintenance on blending equipment.

Load tank wagons, tank cars and totes with blended and raw materials.

Demonstrate high level of technical competence in a broad range of areas making it possible to work any technician position.

Successfully operated small and large kettles, distillations and Wet Laboratory equipment.

Prepare and sterilize process equipment as needed.

Manage laboratory equipment and raw material procurement within multiple projects.

Develop strong knowledge and experience in promoting safe, cost effective research and development within the group.

Provide support and technical observations/suggestions to Engineers and Chemists that result in the advancement of the group’s technical efforts.
