Extensive support for an internally developed publication management tool called PWS or Publication Workflow System. Special Projects Included:
Moving all employees to new office space and managing decommissions caused by layoffs, new local network, and phone system. The downtime lasted one weekend.
Transitioning from CS2 to CS4, introducing Extensis Font Management servers, and moving PCs from XP to Windows Vista and later Windows 7. Moving Mac users from Power PC to Intel platforms and later upgrading to Mountain Lion. The Mac and PC projects happened simultaneously which included OS and Application upgrades to occur on two platforms at the same time and were completed without the need to hire outside consultants.
Planning support and migration for regional office growth due to the closure of the Boston office and the retirement of some positions elsewhere.
The replacement and upgrade of color and black and white departmental printers with Xerox and Ricoh.
Reorganizing and redeploying all workstations after downsizing. Project lead of a “fun, team building” project, a chili cook-off.
Evanston office closure, breaking down of servers for shipment to other cities, decommissioning of server, determining which workstations and laptops to be shipped to other divisions and which equipment to decommission.
