I have worked for Dollar General, Walmart, Adrian's Groceries, Cormier's grocery, Circle K, and Cracker Barrel in every capacity from management to stocker. I was also a critical care nurse for almost 15 years I worked in Hospitals in ICU, Step-Down Units, Psychiatric and Addictive medicine, Nursing Homes, and private duty care.
I have pumped gas and checked engine oil and tire pressure for a living. I have crawfished in ponds around the Catahoula area for a living using both pyramid and pillow traps, and I have worked for Labor Ready where I got up every morning to go stand in line to be picked to be bussed to Baton Rouge to ankor campers down after hurricane Katrina.
And I am not gonna lie … the most important, beautiful, and hardest jobs I have ever had, has been being the single mother of 4 adult children who range in age from 33-42 years in age.
