Asseco Software Nigeria LTD (Nigerian subsidiary of the Asseco Group, 5th largest Software OEM in Europe)

The role involved primarily developing and managing the Asseco Group’s Certificate Authority (CERTUM CA) business in most of sub-Saharan Africa. This comprised sales and technical support for all Certum CA products such as SSL/TLS certificates, SMIME, Code Signing and Qualified Digital Signatures (SaaS). The role also involves developing Asseco’s Cybersecurity business such as sales of Asseco’s Security Operations Centre

(SOC) building capabilities, SOCaaS offerings, Certificate/PKI Lifecycle Management Solution, ESET Endpoint Detection & Response solution. Responsibilities

» As the pioneer BDM of the Trust Services Business, I developed the business plan, set up and developed the Certum Certificate Authority Business in Nigeria which services organizations throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Adopted a two-pronged approach - both B2C for the mass market, through channels, and B2B (enterprise clients). This led to the creation of an annually growing market of over 10,000 customers which includes many notable brands in different sectors such as tier-1 commercial banks, other financial services companies, State and Federal Government MDAs.

» Ensured organization verification for higher classes of SSL/TLS certificates was done in line with laid down procedures and in compliance with CA-Browser Forum Guidelines for verifying organizations seeking these identifying certificates.

» Started and grew the channel partner network to include the largest hosting and domain companies for retailing of TLS certificates to thousands of customers.

» As an internally trained Identity Authentication Practitioner and Supervisor, carried out Identity Verification for customers from various organizations seeking Qualified Digital Signatures, in line with Cloud Signature Consortium Standards.

» Hired, supervised, and trained the Asseco Nigeria and Asseco Togo teams of Identity Authentication Point Operators for issuance of qualified digital signatures in compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.

» Sales and implementation project lead for certificate/PKI lifecycle management solution and managed security (SOCaaS) services.

» Drove strategic partnerships and partner relations management, including training
