Work Experience
Associate
TAC manufacturing - Jackson, MI
July 2023 to September 2023
I assembled components for side mirrors for Lexus. I also worked as an “off-line” associate setting up work orders, components and dunnage for the main assembly lines. This position required a lot of coordination, problem solving, math skills and fast paced work. Campground Attendant
Jackson County Parks and Recreation - Jackson, MI
May 2022 to September 2022
My job duties included answering the phone and answering questions about pricing, amenities and hours and also making reservations and entering them into the computer and taking payments by credit/debit. I also did these tasks on site in our office and cash or check was also accepted. As a campground attendant it was important to keep the grounds at a high standard for our campers and to keep the facilities clean and sanitized.
Warehouse Clerk
Great Lakes Industries Inc. - Jackson, MI
August 2018 to December 2020
As a warehouse clerk my job began with simple duties such as inventory and organization and grew to be much more. I worked with the engineers and maintenance on several projects as per how certain parts should be stored properly to avoid rusting or any damage. I operated a forklift daily and was taught to use calipers for measuring gears. Although I was not considered shipping and receiving I did much work with the shipping receiving department. Loading and unloading trucks, stocking items used daily in the shipping department and helping to find parts that have been lost in the system for sometimes over 10 years. I was in communication by email every day with alro Steel to order the proper material. I unloaded it and checked it in when it arrived. I kept in communication with engineers and team leaders to let them know when "hot" material arrived.
General Laborer
Great Lakes Foam - Concord, MI
November 2017 to August 2018
As a laborer I would have to do a quick inspection of the foam parts and trim excess material and pass them on to the final inspector. There were times when I assisted on the pouring line cleaning the molds and also pouring the parts. I also assisted with final inspection, weighing and packing the parts into the boxes and labeling them properly.
Finish line operator/Quality Auditor
Brembo-Foundry - Homer, MI
January 2017 to October 2017
As a finishing line operator I had to inspect and separate good from bad parts very quickly. Some parts had flaws that would be sent down the line and I would have to use a air-powered angle grinder to remove the flaws then neatly stack each rotor in the appropriate labeled bin. I applied and was promoted to quality auditor where I had to record the scrap parts from the CNC operators as per flawed from The foundry or mistakes from the CNC machine and then enter them into the computer on a spreadsheet. Manufacturing associate (offline)
TAC manufacturing - Jackson, MI
November 2013 to May 2015
As an associate in Wood wheel I was responsible for sanding the perfect steering wheel and also repairing flaws in the wooden steering wheels, both raw and finished. As an associate in assembly I had many responsibilities. I started off in the "clean room" where my job was to inspect and set up multiple trays of parts to be assembled by a robot then inspect them after they had been assembled. As an "offline associate" I was responsible for making sure that the correct parts and dunnage were set up to match each order and record hourly production. I had to inspect the first and last part of each full, assembled package. I trained new people on proper procedures and safety of each machine and was responsible for inspecting all of their parts to ensure quality. At the end of the day I had to report all production, downtime and scrap and enter it into the company computer. Bartender/Server
Fergs Parma Pub - Parma, MI
April 2011 to July 2013
General bartender duties included- mixing drinks, cooking, cleaning, taking orders, handling money, keeping up with fast pace, handling demanding customers calmly and I also took on the responsibility of planning and decorating for holiday parties and events. Laborer
Dave's Drywall - Jackson, MI
November 2007 to January 2011
As a laborer I had extensive responsibilities ranging from demolition to building and lots of problem solving involving math and lots of physical activity. I would measure jobs, order materials and complete jobs starting from partial demolition, sometimes installing new insulation, measuring, cutting and hanging the board, taping and mudding, sanding and painting. I used a variety of hand and power tools to complete these jobs. I had to have an "eye for detail" to ensure that the walls were smooth and each job was completed and cleaned properly.
I still work with Dave on occasion.
