Summary of Qualifications

Having started my career with Liberty School District my junior year in high school has provided me with unique skills which range from advanced hardware support over servers, desktops, laptops of all kinds while also teaching me new things such as installing, maintaining DVR systems, fiber networks, testing new cameras to provide the best and safest coverage for important areas, which saved Liberty money in vandalism/stolen goods costs. While working for Liberty the district decided to conform to a 1:1 laptop scenario which resulted in my job expanding to cover more than 5000 devices ranging from Chromebooks, MacBooks, PC laptops, Projectors, and more. To maintain these devices, my job was to repair them in house with parts and expertise to do so. Skills and Interests

Interests

● Security systems and cameras are strong interests, being a homeowner myself and having been robbed, I installed a DVR network with many cameras at my residence.

● Networking is by far one of my biggest interests. I am self-taught over 10 years. My career has allowed me to fully grasp how to make a network function on a larger scale than a house network. I have created a file share, Remote VB hosts, and servers for many games and more.

● Programming in many languages is something I long to do. Though I have a good start I would like to keep fluent in one or two languages to keep my programming abilities as high as they can be.

● Cloud applications, working within AWS or alike applications to provide more robust Cloud solutions to customers and companies.

Achievements

Robotics

Our FIRST robotics team 1764 went to finals 2 years in a row, 2010 & 2011. Served as Lead Safety Captain, Lead Programmer for the team and the robot. Participated in many competitions before finals, during which our team received the “Safety Award”. This was for being the most safety aware team and helping others to be safe throughout the competitions. Our team was awarded 4 times. All received at different competitions across the US. Each competition had approximately 500 teams competing. Contracting Successes

Having never tried contracted work before I attempted working with Insight Global. Insight matched me up with Hyland Software to do work on various projects they had. While working with Hyland I got exposed to Cloud applications and a product of theirs called Twistage, a video hosting platform similar to youtube but for company use.While working as a contractor I found that I had many skills that aligned well with a position opening. While contracted with them I applied and found myself being hired on for supporting Twitage. As I dug deeper and kept providing value to the team I was introduced to, I found myself learning all kinds of new concepts around what is ‘cloud software’. Hyland allowed me to expand my knowledge of this area of IT and with that knowledge I write this achievement here as it was a life altering learning event that carries on even today.
