Insignia Technology Services: 01/10/2017 to 07/16/2019: Supervisor/Project Manager

Provide guidance to Insignia Program Analysts with any ongoing Requests/Tasks as well as any problem that may arise, to find a suitable outcome. Answer any emails/phone calls related to Health Care Identity Management business, the Insignia staff, and or the HC IdM Program Manager. This is to also include the HC IdM SME Group, as well as QA Reviewers. Monitor the Your IT Ticketing system for routine requests (i.e. Identity trait corrections, local merge assistance, Telehealth manipulation, etc.) Provide training to new hires upon onboarding them. Maintain and report the stats of the Monthly metrics to the Program Manager. I also review and approve staff's timesheets, and ensure that all time is corrected, and submitted in a timely manner.

As Supervisor, I oversee all training of new hires per the contract, as well as conduct evaluations on team members. Provided “Accurint” reports to Insignia staff when requested. Answered any emails/phone calls related to HC IdM business. These could originate from the Insignia staff, and or the HC IdM Program Manager, Deputy Manager, as well as to include the HC IdM “SME” Group. This will require monitoring of Insignia email along with Outlook VA email. When time permitted, I worked the Identity Management toolkit requests along with my staff from the Contractor’s Queue within Identity Management Toolkit.

Insignia Technology Services. Health Data Analyst: 10/22/2015 to 01/09/2017

Ensures the data integrity of identity traits, Integration Control Number (ICN), and treating facilities of patients' electronic health records (EHR);

Analyzes patient identity trait data and determines correct course of action to resolve duplicate EHR on the MPI into one unique identifier (ICN);

Analyzes, researches, and resolves patient identity trait data quality issues/discrepancies/anomalies in patients' EHRs;

Identifies, analyzes, investigates, and assists in the resolution of EHRs that have been involved in a Catastrophic Edit to patient identity;

Documents actions taken in internal journal cases;

Communicates with facility staff regarding possible verification of identity traits, data quality issues, discrepancies, etc. using various verification resources;

Facilitates the dissemination of information and training to users to improve the understanding of the MPI and identity management;

Supervising Medial Coding Staff on a Veteran’s Administration contract for various sites within the US, with my largest site accommodating 30 to 40 employees. The duties dealt with were coding patient’s medical records using ICD9-CM, CPT-4, as well as Evaluation and Management. I was responsible for the Privacy and Security (HIPAA Privacy Laws) of the veteran’s medical records. Kept abreast of current software and network security issues. I also worked with various systems within the VA, including Nuance, Clintegrity, and QuadraMed. I also performed audits as well as monthly audits where a 95% accuracy was required.
