Skills
Hello my name is Xeiah Holley and I, like many people, am between jobs. I currently work part time at my mom’s tattoo parlor, County Line Tattoo, as a piercing/tattooing apprentice and receptionist. Working that job has taught me communication skills, taking criticism, and to think on my toes even in stressful situations. I personally am a people pleaser as well, and I do well with customer interactions and making people feel their best.
Experience
PRESENT and Working Part Time
County Line Tattoo, Calimesa, CA - Apprentice/Receptionist
●Been working here at my family business since I was like 11- 12 so I have over five years of experience.
●I run errands on foot, do basic custodial work (trash and sweeping), I clean tattoo stations, organize files, and speak to customers.
●I’ve very recently been licensed to perform piercings and tattoos and that is a slow grind so I need another job to support me until I build up enough clientele.
●I had a waitressing job (for a month or two) before I got covid and was fired back in September 2021 and I truly enjoyed serving people, I’m just honestly a slow barista.
Education
Highschool Diploma
I’m currently working towards my Associates Degree in Science and getting my Interpretation Certificate for American Sign Language. I currently go to school Mondays and Wednesdays but if I’m hired at a full time position, I will do it completely online when the new semester starts.
Awards
●Second Place in Odyssey of the Mind Competition for regionals with my team as an elementary schooler. Which led to a district award of recognition for my team and I’s hard work.
●English student of the year awarded at my eighth grade graduation recognition of my grades and overall gpa.
●At one of the highschools I attended I achieved a letter in theater, a letter in academics, as well as making the dean’s list.
●When I graduated highschool I was given a High Honors cord for a gpa of 3.5 and above all four years of highschool, a pink cord for music studies all four years, and a pin for choir performance.
Final Note
Thank you for reading my resume and considering me for this position. I have to disclose with my future employer that I have anxiety and it gives me a physical tick that I cannot control, which is my head rolling to the left and my left shoulder raising at the same time. I can prevent it by taking a five minute breather when I’m getting overwhelmed. Just asking for a minute from my shift leader or whoever is in charge is the only accommodation I seek, so I can produce my best, most quality work.
