Lead SAN Engineer

Responsible for the design, implementation, data migrations, and administration of a PB storage area network (SAN) design, to ensure a very highly available production solution. Our SAN included Hitachi, IBM, and DDN storage arrays totally 1PB of storage, dual Brocade fabrics, and NetBackup for tape backups. Storage usage included core IT, HPC

During my tenure, I received several performance awards that included both pay and time-off awards. Lead engineer for design and implementation of Combat Information Transport Systems (CITS) for locations both in the United States and overseas. Duties included supervising employees, commander briefings, hands-on switch and router configurations, fiber installation and terminations, etc. Lead engineer in the design and implementation of an OC-48 SONET ring for Space Command at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs, CO.
