Managed large- and small-scale Capital projects for equipment installations/retrofits ranging from 5K to 10M. Average annual budget was 15M that I had signing authority on. Demonstrated ability to keep the projects in budget and finish on time.
Evaluate, specify, and implemented creative solutions to problems ranging from complex material handling and environmental challenges, to large scale maintenance activities.
Direct personnel working on machinery installations, PLC programming, automation coding, virtualizing our Ignition SCADA interface, and establishing databases for critical aerospace production data.
Performed internal capacity and reliability analysis studies on production equipment, layouts, and created plans with estimates for Capital planning. Demonstrated ability to pitch Capital business plans all the way to the CEO and secure funding.
Coordinated vendor services and large scale preventative maintenance activities for a 1.2M sq ft building with over 5K asset numbers. Developed method for tracking 150 projects running across 3 shifts during the annual shutdown in December.
Performed failure analysis on critical production equipment and developed repair plans and PM adjustments to eliminate recurring failures.
Developed extensive specifications for procurement to use for equipment and asset purchasing. My team and I would perform the research and development, qualify vendors, perform site visits, and oversee the installation and startup of the new asset.
