Helped take notes for nursing and doctors. Filled medications, worked with Optifill, GSL and Scriptpro as well as Pyxis. We work off the VA system with our EHR and RPMS system. Worked closely with 42 Pharmacists and 28 other Technicians. Worked with Omnicell and Pyxis. Helped with interview processes and recruiting. Was trained and worked in a sterile clean room making patient specific compounds. Pushed carts with up to 200 pounds of fluids and medications to refill Pyxis machines in each nursing med-room. Was front tech and was responsible for helping with schedules. Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assisted in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Performed duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, utilized pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information was entered correctly, filled prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verified medicine was correct, and checked for possible interactions. Handled telephone calls that did not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. Processed, corrected, and resubmitted manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performed other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. Received computer courses in Medical Terminology, Windows, and Microsoft Office from Western Nebraska Community College. Have lots of college courses in Early childhood education and development. Took Pharmacy Technician classes while working for Walgreens to obtain my CPhT license. Oklahoma State Pharmacy Technicians Permit.
