Ensured machines were properly operating, and jobs were completed within timetables; responsible for quality control. Relayed information regarding jobs and duties, production and maintenance, and safety issues to include compliance with S5 and 56. Responsible for light maintenance. Recorded dry and wet weights for production parts. Inspected pallets; proper pieces, packaging and labels.

RUSSEL METALS WILLIAMS BAHCALL - Milwaukee, Wisconsin SECOND SHIFT SUPERVISOR - Accountable for setting-up production for the second shift, and delegating duties to fourteen employees, including foremen and leadmen. Determined machine capacity and loading, and ensured work was scheduled to meet customer delivery needs. Communicated customer requirements for schedule and quality, and addressed any issues that might affect deliveries. Oversaw the inspection incoming materials, and managed the movement of inventory. Responsible for logistics; determined delivery sequences, and set-up trucks for the third shift to load. Maintained a working knowledge of Federal and DOT regulations to ensure routes would be in compliance with legal DOT regulations. Directed the safe loading of trucks. Facilitated the training of employees on policies and procedures, safety rules and programs, and dealt with any issues that arose including assignment of work, attendance and timekeeping, and performance to ensure the plant functioned at an acceptable level of efficiency. Investigated injuries, accidents, errors and production delays, and expedited corrective action.
RECEIVING QUALITY CONTROL COORDINATOR - Responsibilities entailed receiving trucks and rail cars, performing inspections and piece counts to ensure the correct steel grades, sizes, quantity and quality. Verified the accuracy of purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing slips. Checked materials for discrepancies and damages. Designated inventory locations. Performed continuous and regular cycle counts. Contributed to the implementation of ISO policies in operations, and developed individualized job descriptions. Assisted with the implementation of a tri-state area next-day shipping guarantee.
BURNER - Operated a Linde CM 100-CNC Oxy Fuel and Plasma Burning Machine, and an ESAB Oxy Fuel Burning Machine.
Initially hired as a Hitch Loader, gained valuable knowledge about axle weights, total weights, and overload limits. As a Plate Shear Operator, operated hydraulic plate shears, and hydraulic plate and sheet shears. As Lead Loader, safely and correctly operated overhead cranes, forklifts, and yard trucks. As a Crane Operator, developed a tagging system that enhanced inventory retrieval and tracking processes. And as a Saw-Iron Operator, operated automatic horizontal band saws, vertical band saws, and a hydraulic iron worker.
