I am hard working and self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with acquired knowledge through the study of Mechanical Engineering, Trainings and previous work experience in a Peat to Power Plant Operations. In addition, I have been serving as Equipment Management and Maintenance Engineer in a high learning institution for 2 years where my focus was to ensure the maintenance of various equipment.

WORK EXPERIENCE

2022-Current:

Mechanical Operation and Maintenance Officer at Gasmeth Power Ltd. Duties and responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all mechanical plant equipment, including mobile and heavy equipment,

Perform Power Plant Operations, responding to abnormal and emergency conditions in the most effective manner, complying with all safety and environment requirements

Continuously monitor system and component conditions and maintain all plant equipment to meet plant dispatch requirements,

Report Incidents or other anomalies in plant status to the Operation and /or Maintenance Supervisor,

Perform the mechanical, and basic instrument and control troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, cleaning, inspecting and installation of equipment and systems for the generation facility,

Repair and maintain equipment and machinery,

Perform various generating plant and workshop area housekeeping functions. 2017-2022:

Mechanical Operation and Maintenance Officer (Rwanda Energy Group Ltd (REG)– Energy Utility and Corporation Ltd (EUCL) where the main responsibility is to ensure the peat power plant operations and maintenance.

Duties and responsibilities

In charge of boiler, Turbine, Generator Units, Pumps and other auxiliaries to Ensure the efficiency and reliability of the power plant

Lead and/or participate in any plant Root Cause Failure Analysis(RCFA) and Modes Effects Analysis(FMEA) processes involving Mechanical Equipment of the plant and related systems to ensure corrective actions, repairs and or modifications are appropriate and timely in their execution

Develop and /or review the planned Maintenance(PM) activities of mechanical equipment and related systems to ensure all PM’s are correctly aligned with the operations and maintenance Manual.

work with and train Maintenance and Plant Operations Personnel in the most reliable, safe and efficient methods for equipment and system maintenance and troubleshooting of Mechanical systems.

Maintain all Boiler, Turbine, Generator units, Pumps and related systems in good conditions.

Reports upset conditions or other anomalies in plant status to the Shift Supervisor. 2015- 2017

Equipment management and Maintenance Engineer at IPRC Musanze Duties and responsibilities

To schedule, plan and perform preventive maintenance of institution equipment

To ensure that all institutional equipment and infrastructures are maintained in environmental friendly manner
