My major achievement is the rollout of Active Data Warehouse, which loads POS data to Teradata from the stores to Teradata within 15 minutes through MQ Series & Start a Task. Data Warehousing is responsible for loading all the data on Teradata. Around 15000 mainframe jobs run every day. This job includes the design and implementation of projects. There were numerous numbers of projects that were designed and were sent for implementation. Quality was considered as the number one priority. This retail industry operates in 10 different countries, and I was trying to level the code for all countries. Adding a new country and turning on the job flow becomes an easy process.

I was mainly involved in setting up jobs for the new country UK. Data warehouse is responsible for loading data to Teradata. I was an expert in POS, SHIPS & Market Basket. Billing Integrity Gap Project.

I was involved with First Data Resources (FDR) which is a leading Credit Card Supplier. First USA Bank (FUSA) is a major client of FDR for providing credit card processing services. The billing data known as billing feeds is generated by an application system that runs on the IBM Mainframe. Also different reports are generated by this system, reflecting the billing feed information this is downloaded and used by another application system called Client Accounting and Billing Systems (CABS), which uses an Oracle Database. At present there are differences between billing feed figures reported by the mainframe system and those which are actually build by the CABS. The main objective of this project is to analyze the programs of the mainframe application system in order to remove the possible logic errors that are causing the difference. The billing integrity project is executed in IBM Mainframe environment (IBM 370 system) at FDR. Involved in impact analysis, Program coding and modification, modification of JCL’s and proc’s, Testing and quality control.
