Process Automation
Designed and coded an automated process to locate breaks in miles of hardwiring. After sensors were installed, the new system was triggered, and operators were able locate the breaks in 50% less time.
Designed, coded, and implemented an online order processing system for kits and components. The new system listed the kits online where the entire kit or a component could be reshipped, reducing the time to process the customer requests by 70%.
Client database was getting duplicate bank instructions from various places in the system, causing restricted trading. Designed automated daily process that ran during production to delete the duplicates and free trading.
Project Management
Led a team and coded portions of a new online factory workday system. The client was drawing bar charts by hand to post on the factory floor for the assembly line workers. A typical chart took two hours to draw. With the automated system, it reduced the time to 10 minutes per chart, a 91% reduction
. Led a team in developing a new trade applier system. With the old method, dealers placed trades that were applied to the database on an hourly basis in batch. The new method used MQ Series to trigger an online process and the trades were applied near-real-time, a 99.5% reduction.
Led a team in improving a Wire Purchase Proofing system that match purchases that were ordered to the bank wire instructions to ensure the payments had been received. The new system increased accuracy by 162%.
Process Improvement
Designed and implemented process improvements for a legacy system to improve ease of data entry inbound shipments and shipment errors. The more user-friendly system, including online reporting, reduced processing time by 40%.
Designed process improvements to an online trade system using predefined values, allowing trades to be submitted 90% faster than the previous method.
