I tried to work 3rd shift while also running my household. I am a single mother with a teenager still living at home. I had a VERY difficult time trying to sleep during the day, everyday I never had a chance to get used to the shift. We were not aloud to break in the small break room due to COVID. So we were left with the only other option. Breaks in our cars. I feel asleep on my lunch break and promptly fired the next morning! Without a chance to be written up or warned! She did tell me I was aloud to dispute the decision and I should if I believe that my firing was not fair or cruel treatment. Years ago I worked as a Molding Operator in Scottsville, KY. I worked for 13 months when I was moved to the night shift once again- I was terminated over being tired and asking for less overtime. I worked 12 hour shifts, 1st 11am to 11pm and for 10 months I worked very well. Until I was moved to 11pm to 11am shift I was told 30 days at the most. I was exhausted and aggravated I quit.
