From May of 1976 until February of 1999, I was employed with United Gas Pipeline Company which was acquired by Koch Pipeline in 1995. During those 23 years as a company employee, I worked in all aspects of construction and maintenance starting in Shreveport, Louisiana, as an Operations Technician and then working to become a Welder Fabricator in Longview, Texas. After welding from 1980 until 1995, Koch assigned me to their Construction and Technology group where I inspected on Koch Pipeline projects in Louisiana, Kansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama and Texas. I was laid off in 1999 after 23 years of service and it was then that I began my career as a Contract Inspector.
