Optikos Corporation, Supply Chain Manager CSCP and CPIM Wakefield, MA February 2022-August 2023

Directed Supply Chain Management activities for one of the world’s foremost Optical Company. Functional responsibility included all facets of purchasing and supplier selection and qualification management, inventory control, receiving and shipping operations. Directed the ISO support operations for the Supply Chain.

Managed and developed six team members, provided leadership, coaching and guidance for roles, functions and processes. Increased performance of the team and allowed team member to grow and be successful.

Developed and managed Supply Chain KPI’s and Goals. Exceeded all KPI’s for 2022 and the 2023 KPI’s exceeded goals by EOM July. Team and individual goals were either achieved or were on track for success.

Directed the relocation of the Supply Chain staff and operations. Relocation was completed ahead of schedule, within six weeks, and 65% under budget without any disruption in day-to-day support.

Improved the materials cycle count control processes to improve cycle count accuracy from 86% to 99.6%. This was validated by external audit, with 100% accuracy during annual inventory.

Directed the Supply Chain to successfully complete its portion of the ISO 9001-2015 and 13485-2016 compliance audits that we were simultaneously conducted. The team had three team members support nine internal audits as auditors.

Supply Chain Director, CSCP and CPIM

Directed Supply Chain Management activities for a Global Capital Equipment manufacturing company. Supported four distinct companies, two with end-to-end Supply Chain activities and the other two with warehousing and logistical support. These companies had a combined annual revenue of $145 million. Functional responsibility included all aspects of purchasing and supplier management, inventory control, receiving and shipping operations as well as additional operational support for these elements.

Managed 12 team members, provided leadership, coaching and managerial processes that drive and develop optimal performance of the team and allowed each individual team member to grow and be successful.

Improved the materials control processes to improve Cycle Count accuracy for the three companies to an average of 97.63% as validated by an external audit. Significant note was one company rose to 95% from 65%.

Supported the relocation and operational and logistical functions of three companies from three different locations and a fourth logistics support cell into a consolidated 102,000 square foot facility.

Guided the Purchasing team to overcome worldwide supply disruptions caused because of COVID 19. There were significant challenges caused by medical issues, staffing shortfalls and constrained transportation assets.

Directed the Trade Compliance, Sustainability, Responsible Business and other cross functional programs.

Cytonome, LLC, Supply Chain Manager, CPIM Bedford, MA August 2016 – April 2019

Directed all Supply Chain Management activities for a Medical Device manufacturer leading a team of six team members in the end-to-end supply chain functions including, but not limited to materials management, purchasing, inventory management, logistics, shipping and receiving, planning, and manufacturing support functions.

Directed the Supply team to achieve savings of $6M through cost saving initiatives, recovering undocumented materials from 3PL storage, and improved inventory accountability actions.

Guided the Purchasing team to increase purchases by 250% with annual spend of $12M. Including the sourcing of $6M in material to support a high visibility ETO product in an extremely condensed period of six months.

Improved the processes of the Materials team to improve stock control accountability to 97% from 35%, while inventory lines increased by 218% and inventory turns tripled.

Streamlined the NCMR process which resulted in a 400% reduction in processing times while the level of activity increased by 65%. These efforts reduced the inventory value of NMR material by 70%.

Supported these oversight teams; New Product Introduction (NPI); Material Review Board (MRB); Engineering Change Order (ECO); Quality and Supplier Qualifications and ISO 9001-2015 and FDA 13485 certifications audits.

Senior Material Program Manager

Materials Program Manager for Robotics manufacturer supporting the company in pre-production and production stages of growth and development. Instrumental in all facets of materials, purchasing and planning functions.

Developed cost avoidance programs which saved $1.5 million dollars for non-production material (MRO) related purchases.

Maximized the materials planning and purchasing functions resulting in increased revenue by 700%. Achieved savings targets of 35% from initial production costs, a savings of $5 million dollars.

Doubled the approved AVL, improving delivery and reduction in TCO through leveraged pricing, better availability, and improved quality for goods and services with an annual spend of $15 million.
