I like a challenge at work to get duties done. I'm very friendly. Have lots of compassion for people. I have been a cna since Feb. 1991.
I live the values of the company & promote them. I'll work extra shifts to help out, trade days with coworkers, do what I can to help all of us be the best we can be. While at Trinity; I received numerous honoring you certificates for doing work in helping patients achieve their daily goals & for being compassionate & caring. Listening to patients to help them achieve their goals.
I also had numerous nominations for the daisy award for my skills with the patients, only nurses can receive the award, I was given a daisy pin to wear. I won the FOCUS award. It's living out & following the values of Trinity & performing these values with staff & patients.
My goal is to continue working for at least 20 + years. Work Experience
Telesitter/PCT
Trinity Medical Center - Rock Island, IL

Used electronic monitoring system to ensure patients safety. Redirect them, if unable; call for staff to assist. Make sure patients do not pull on tubes or lines, get out of bed if unable. Watch for choking when eating & drinking, alert staff if this happens.
On several occasions staff were notified to help with patients that could not be redirected Spent a lot of time talking to patients thru the camera to calm them down, get them staff help, or just to socialize with them to keep them company.
Hourly charting of patients behavior, position, visitors, and nursing staff in room. Fax daily log sheets to the proper hospital and the proper unit/floor. Received report via fax then called nurse to verify all information is correct, nothing forgotten, then typed into computer system so information is ready at a glance for employee to see. Pct position, have patients do their daily hygiene, converse with nurses & doctors on how patient is doing. Give verbal report to nurse or oncoming staff.
Keep track of vitals & continued charting in Epic. Encouraged patients to walk, exercise, or stretches to gain mobility, get better so they could go home. Spent time working/talking with patients and family members to help them meet their goals, feel more comfortable, to express themselves to get out anger, anxiety, depression, & overall trying to feel better. Helped patients be the best they can be in recuperating. Direct Support
