My name is May Anastascio and I am applying for the Human Resource Generalist open position.

I have 30 years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment. I have performed many functions pertaining to HR including absenteeism, payroll, conflict resolution, union grievances, as well as being assigned to a diversity and inclusion 5-member team to address diversity complaints. I was the longest serving member with 5 years.

Although I have not held the actual title of human resources, as you can see I have performed many functions of HR. I believe the HR department is the heart of the company and can create a healthy working environment. My passion is to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe walking through our doors to work.

I retired in 2020 from Arconic, Inc as a Field Service Engineer. I do not have an engineering degree, however, due to my manufacturing acumen, I was promoted to that role. I hold a master’s degree in organizational psychology and development and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
