Sales: Experience with various sales operations. Exceptional customer service skills and great with numbers. At Enterprise, the top sales scores in northern Arizona for six months running. Public Relations: As a Park Ranger, presented information, answered questions for visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities; worked with local government agencies; met and corre- sponded with reporters. Tripled the park's program attendance from the same period the previ- ous year. As a college cheerleader and team captain, performed at often-televised football and basketball games and represented the school in media events and official school community outreach programs.
Instruction: As a Virginia Park Ranger, developed and presented environmental and historical programs for all ages and to over fifty people at a time. Created and led guided hikes. Prepared and presented special programs for community outreach, school groups, Junior Rangers, and after-school programs. As a long-term substitute teacher, managed students, developed and ex- ecuted lesson plans, graded papers and quizzes, and proctored standardized exams. Course levels range from Special Education to Advanced Placement with up to 47 students in a class. Equipment used includes PC and Mac computers (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and sim- ilar programs), cash registers (entrance and usage fees, boat rentals, and retail accounts), and various rental and county and regional park vehicles including kayaks and other small boats.
