I am currently working by myself as a residential handy man and maintenence. My work record has been varied over the last 12 years as I am a single parent of a 12 year old daughter, she is however, old enough now to manage herself as a young adult allowing me to pursue a stronger career path.
2021 - current
I have been performing work in many trades of construction and automotive repair and sales. Termite repair, window, door and trim replacement. Bathroom and kitchen remodels. Painting, fences, flooring,and electric repair and upgrades. I have also ingaged in vehicle purchase, upgrading or repairing them to resell.
2017 - 2021
Worked for 'AEROTEK', as a temporary worker for several contractors. A general contractor site assistant on a project in Oxnard at 'ARCTIC COLD'. Duties included awareness of overall job site safety and hazard issues, communicating concerns between multiple sub-contractors and my employer the general contractor. Resolving and preventing obstacles, both physical and trades job site congestion making every trade able to maintain on track progress. Fullfilling duties as instructed by contractor to compliment any trade in need to ensure progress. Equipment operation, safety watch, installation, building, assisting in each trade as needed.
Plumber for 300 unit new construction. Installation of plumbing lines and fixtures. Gas lines, complete recirculatory hot systems, ventilation, underground, sewer, testing. Again working with and around all trades in construction. Awareness of obstacles, safety and communication with management and other trades. Maintaining awareness of material needs and reporting to ensure correct supplies are available.
Industrial plumbing over tri-areas. This included building and modifying unique water, air and gas arrangements for manufacturing companies.
Steel framing and drywall and plastering for multi-unit building, and commercial.
Building and installing electrical system for Fed-Ex to install charging stations for their upcoming electrical vehicles.
New school underground and multiple building electrical panels. Wire up buildings and install fixtures, lighting and outlets.
2013 - 2017
Installation tech for 'REBATH', remodeling bathrooms. From aquiring all materials, communication with customers to complete build, start to finish. Demolition, drain changes, plumbing rerouting, installation of all manners of materials, and finish work to customers satisfaction.
Prior work experience includes in short, automobile sales, advertising specialty route sales, manager 'Big 5', operation manager rental car agency, owned and operated automobile restoration and refinishing, classic and insurance.
My goal is to work in an organized team environment that would benefit from one or more of my skills while learning new skills. A symbiotic relationship with an employer where we both can grow and succeed.
