Currently working JSW which consist of 5 Stand 6Hi PLTCM, 2 Single Stand 4Hi-Mills and 4 SPM Single Stand 4Hi Mill.

Responsibilities

● Activity involved in erection and commission of roll shop machines and equipments like roll grinding machine, roll texturing, roll chocker- de chocker and chock tilter machine.

● Roll grinding and defect analysis.

● Planning for spares and ensuring its availability.

● Planning of discarding lower Dia & suspended rolls.

● Maintaining history sheet of all running Work roll, IMR and BUR.

● Ensuring roll grinding operation without defect.

● Ensuring safety of shop floor workers.

● Maintaining all check lists & records of serviced bearing.

● Making 5s presentation for roll shop & maintaining the same.

● Coordination with all the mill operation and maintenance department for next planning to avoid delays.

● Troubleshoot the problems related to bearing applications and provide the technical solutions for better performance.

● Root cause analysis of bearing failure.

● Preparing Quotations and doing techno-commercial negotiations with customers.

● Monitor quality of work done by individuals to ensure assembly is done as per correct procedure.

● Insist and ensure compliance of safe working practices among entire work force.

● Every month preparing the MIS report, servicing schedule of bearing and execute as per plan, which help in improving the bearing life.

● Planning for carry out of repair work of chock spares.

● Planning and Executing of the Man power and Work Schedule.

● Responsible for overall activity of CRM Roll Shop regarding planning of Work roll, IMR and Back up Roll assembly with chock mounting and other necessary assembly.
