- I am currently employed at Intrepid Potash, Wendover Utah. Gaining some mine experience here. My job title currently is Bin operator 2, which is operating the Bulldozer pushing salt up into the bin. I have a computer control room where I’m able to operate and control my pumps, agitator, belts, everything in my slurry pit. My other responsibilities is making sure my drippers and agitator are good on oils, my pumps and belts are greased. Having the ability to solve why somethings stop working such as belts, pump box, and agitator. I even inspect the bulldozer before every shift, checking oil levels, and anti-freeze making sure everything is good. On shutdown days we do more hands on work, with anything that’s needed to be done such as pipe leaks, pumps, agitators, etc. Gaining some mine experience here and I really enjoy working in this type of environment.

- Hardworking licensed electrician apprentice, I have worked for an electric contractor before for about 11 months gaining some experience on the job. I have been going to school for the trade and learning there as well. Currently enrolled at Tooele Technical college. I am going into my 3rd year as an electrician apprentice. I’ve got a good amount of experience with pulling home runs, jumping circuits, some pipe bending, pipe running, installing receptacles, light switches, light fixtures, disconnect units, wiring up panels, some electrical print diagram reading, and some low voltage troubleshooting (receptacles, lights), etc. I’ve done a lot of low volt work in construction. But I want to expand my skills in a plant mine environment. I want to continue to learn the trade. Really enjoy working and learning. I just want to become the best I can possibly be in the trade and continue expanding my skills/knowledge in the electrical trade.
