Key Skills
Laboratory Accreditation
In the run up to laboratory inspections, prior to accreditation being achieved in AMNCH, group effort and co-ordination were crucial. I built strong professional bonds with all members of staff which aided in the accreditation process running as smoothly as possible. I attended many EU directive meetings with all the members of staff where we discussed and developed ideas.
Journal Clubs
Always eager to learn and progress further, Journal Club attendance and participation is a constructive and enjoyable means to educate myself and maintain a current knowledge of the medical and scientific world.
Conferences
When given the opportunity to attend conferences relating to my career I am always enthusiastic. National Haemovigilence conferences in particular are worthwhile as they give an insight into haemovigilence issues on a nationwide scale as apposed to strictly internal.
Courses
Four years of employment in one institution has granted me the opportunity to attend various different courses to help develop my skills as a competent and dependable member of staff. Courses included customer care, fire safety, manual handling and non-violent crisis intervention. These courses improved my communication skills and provided me with the skills to manage difficult situations which can arise.
