Prior Research Activity

Defining associations of diet with clinical outcomes and the gut microbiome in patients with hidradenitis suppurativa, PI Parameswaran

I facilitated and supervised all aspects of this study including patient recruitment and enrollment, data and biospecimen collection, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Role: Principal-Investigator

Anemia in Hidradenitis Suppurativa Patients; Systematic Review

Role: Principal-Investigator, Mentor to Rishab Rivankar, MS1, Icahn School of Medicine at Mt.Sinai

Phase-2a, Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled, 16-week Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of PF-06650833, PF-06700841, and PF-06826647 in Adults with Moderate to Severe Hidradenitis Suppurativa, PI Lo Sicco

Role: Sub-Investigator.

A Retrospective Chart Review of Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk Modification in Patients with Hidradenitis Suppurativa, PI Garshick

I contributed my clinical and research expertise in hidradenitis suppurativa to this retrospective observational cohort study that describes the prevalence of traditional cardiovascular risk factors, quantifies ASCVD risk, and describes the degree of traditional cardiovascular risk factor control in patients with mild to severe hidradenitis suppurativa at New York University Langone Health (NYULH) using EPIC data via Datacore.

Role: Sub-Investigator

A single-center observational study of the natural history and pathogenesis of hidradenitis suppurativa, PI Chiu

I facilitated patient recruitment by clinically evaluating and enrolling hidradenitis suppurativa patients in this observational cohort study. This study characterizes HS patients using results from standard laboratory tests and/or skin biopsies, which will undergo biomolecular analysis, histology, in vitro analysis, immune system function, genetics/genomics, and microbiome characterization. This information will help elucidate molecular mechanisms governing the disease and inform therapeutic management.

Role: Sub-Investigator

A 5-year prospective study to assess characteristics and clinical outcomes of primary cutaneous SCC, PI Stevenson

I facilitated patient recruitment and enrollment by clinically evaluating bone marrow transplant patients for lesions of concern +/- full skin exams in order to help create a bone marrow transplant patient skin cancer database. This skin cancer biorepository will further characterize outcomes in bone marrow transplant recipients with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.

Role: Sub-Investigator
