Qualifications

19+ years’ experience as an Aircraft Mechanic maintaining F5, T38, C-17, and KC-135 aircraft providing quality maintenance to provide safe airworthy aircraft to meet the unit’s mission

10 years’ experience as a Crew Chief on F5 and T-38 including managing and prioritizing aircraft maintenance work orders on tactical aircraft, support equipment, and forms and records; perform expediter, crew chief, repair, and maintenance support functions

Trained 5 personnel on aircraft maintenance operations

Computer proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

Received hazmat training – experienced with personal protective equipment (PPE) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and adhering to OSHA regulations

Repaired functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, or seals.

Replaced or repaired worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment

Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components, and accessories, using hand or power tools

Reassemble engines following repair or inspection and reinstall engines in aircraft

Service and maintain aircraft and related apparatus by performing activities such as flushing crankcases, cleaning screens, and or moving parts

Obtain fuel and oil samples and check them for contamination
