I have been in the service, retail, and outdoor education industries for 28 years. I list them together because when it comes to customer service, I feel they all contribute to the whole of my value. My history as an outdoor guide ingrained in me to anticipate my customers needs and wants before they even knew about them. My retail experience gained me the ability to ask the questions to find out the best experience to sell a customer. My service industry experience has taught me how to utilize the sum of my skills in a, sometimes challenging environment and still maintain a smile on my face.
I am locally very well known as a good guy and loved by my customers. It makes me feel weird to say that but after enough people tell you that you’re great, you start to believe that they believe it.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Palace Saloon --Bartender
December 2017–present
Working at Florida’s Oldest is an achievement in itself. Duties here are more than just tending bar. We also are historians and story tellers, local tourist travel guides, and entertainers.
Amelia Island Downtown Tasting Tours –Tour Guide
2016–present
These tours are historical food and beverage tours of the historic district of downtown Fernandina Beach. Think of it as telling anecdotes and jokes of the history of downtown while trying to herd drunk cats.

This was the second restaurant that I was involved in opening. It’s a chaotic environment when a fledgling restaurant is trying to get staffed and protocols in place. Communication between staff and management is of paramount importance.
George’s Jet Ski Adventures --Owner

I started this company from scratch. Running tours on jet skis is a very intense business. I built the website, created all the marketing material, and purchased all the equipment. I performed all the safety compliance with the state and federal agencies. I conducted all the safety training for the staff. I ran the scheduling for staff, tours and maintenance, Interestingly, running the tours (the fun part) was only a very small part of running the company.
