Experience
Virgin Orbit- Long Beach, Ca
Test- Prod. Tech./ Structure Assembly
July 2022- Present
As a member a part of the structures assembly team, my job is to bond and assemble the large structural parts of the tanks of the rockets. I also do research and development in which I am cross trained to go to multiple departments. I bond large structural parts of the tanks, to the rockets, using epoxies, by either injection or butter bond. I also install/torque hardware. I perform other jobs including precise drilling, in which the holes drilled, have a minimal tolerance. I also read Blueprints and follow work orders. I constantly measure using scales and measuring tape. I also trim parts using grinders, table saws, sawzalls, jigsaws, saws, pencil grinders, and cut-off wheels. I use mylars for positioning of components and use clecos for clamp pressure during bonding processes or even to hold a part in the right position. I also perform critical repairs, precise measuring, grinding and cutting involved. I vacuum bag contour parts and also perform leak checks.
SpinLaunch- Long Beach, Ca.
Composite Manufacturing Technician
May 2021- June 2022
As a Tech, my job was to help improve work instruction processes and was not limited. I had to tool prep tools and had to lay up using pre impregnated carbon fiber. I also had to trim, cut cured parts within tight tolerances and had to bond using structural adhesive. After, I was one of two techs that was allowed to perform precision drilling. I was also a part of the repair team in which we had to cut structural parts and grind away adhesive without hitting the face sheet(critical) and re-bond using adhesives. I also performed resin winding and resin infusion. My job was also to be a POC and order the correct tools and materials when needed.
Lockheed Martin- Palmdale, Ca.
Fab & Assembler, Sr.
May 2019- May 2021
As a current fabricator at Lockheed Martin my job is to position parts and drill before having to lay-up with composite material. Having to measure for tolerance is a huge part of my job. I also work with a lot of blue prints and required to read them. As a Lockheed Martin Employee I am required to maintain a security clearance. Page 3
Space X- Hawthorne, Ca.
Structures Technician
Apr. 2016- May 2019
As a Composite Tech at Space X, my job was to install structural parts onto the fairing of the rocket. I Used Tools such as grinders, sawzall, jigsaws, pneumatic/elecrical drills, routers, calipers, scales, torque wrenches, wrenches, running torques, feeler/ hi-lite gauges, etc. I drilled into the fairings and installed hardware using torque and running torque wrenches. I also surface prepped before bonding any components. I used clecos to hold parts in place to meet gap tolerances and to position the component. I also trimmed for various tolerances. I was also required to inspect my final work and insure that the directions had been followed and to inspect for any defects. I worked with a lot of conductive components, therefore quality and handling with care was required. Scaled Composites- Mojave, Ca.
Composite Technician
Oct. 2014- Apr. 2016
As a scaled member, we worked on the world’s biggest plane for stratolaunch. As a composite technician my job was not limited but to tool prep foam tools and repair them with bondo. I also layed-up composite pre-preg material and performed debulks along with final bags before cooking them in the ovens. I also spent a great amount time drilling composite parts and positioning with clecoes before having to bond them with proset / resin inside the vehicle. I also trimmed a whole amount of carbon fiber parts to certain tolerances. I also was required to perform wet lay-ups using fiber glass . I was able to measure depths of drilled holes and was able to install hardware. I match drilled certain locations using drill bars, which I had to measure to find the correct location using scales.
GFMI Aerospace & Defense- Fountain Valley, Ca
Composite Technician
Nov. 2012- June 2013; Feb 2014- Aug. 2014
As a composite technician, I tool prepped each mold with sealers and release agents. After each tool was prepped, I received a traveler, with the directions and orientations of the pre-preg to be utilized. I was able to kit my own material and make my own templates for the different type of part I was to make for the day. I performed debulks and final bags with leak checks before throwing the part into the autoclave. I was also able to cut my own honeycomb and was also able to bevel it myself. Secondary bonding was also part of my job where I was able to remove peel ply from a cooked part and add a second round of material before throwing it into the oven again. I was able to trim parts using pneumatic tools such as angle grinders.

Hitco Carbon Composites - Gardena, Ca.
Composite Technician
June 2013 - Aug. 2013
My job was to work on an R&D part for Boieng. Having an open mind and critical opinions were a huge part of my job. Craftsmanship was a necessary skill. the project was confidential. I was able to lay-up with pre preg materials and was also able to route carbon parts into the part. I also worked with an abundant amount of measurements. Final bag and debulks were required by me and my colleagues. The project had a duration of about 3 months.
