Description of Works (Present)
Responsible for the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of the UDA's Web Based Land and Property Information System (LPIS).
Handling of procurement procedures according to the government tender procedure of Sri Lanka
-Preparation of Bidding document/ Calling request for proposal (RFP) to select a suitable bidder/ Arrange the Meeting & prepare minutes/ Preparation of addendum to the bid with relevant amendment/ Evaluation of technical proposal of relevant bidders etc.
Compile and organize spatial data (Raster & Vector) performing relevant method - georeferensing, digitalization & quality checking
Preparation of Geodatabase

Conducting training programs on the spatial data application of UDA's Web Based Land and Property Information System (LPIS) for the internal officers and external requirements
Preparation of conceptual layout plans for the UDA lands by logically subdividing the selected land and illustrating the highest and best use of the land.
Conversion of project concepts, urban design proposals made by the planning team into digital databases.
Responsible for developing spatial and non-spatial data using techniques related to spatial analysis and spatial models required for the compilation of the project proposals.
Collates and compile spatial data required to support all levels of planning and developing digital databases incorporating the data into a GIS to facilitate spatial analysis, quick update and visual presentation.

Capturing of Assessor’s parcel Level data in the Colombo Municipal Council area as a partial requirement for the introduction of Electronic Development Planning process (2001-2003).
GIS based mapping of environmentally sensitive areas in Sri Lanka-development of a digital data base for the Central Environmental Authority (2002).
Development of a Digital Data Base for the smallest administrative boundary called Grama Niladhari Division Boundaries in Sri Lanka for the Census and Statistics Department (2005).
Tightly Collaborated GIS works after the Tsunami event to identify Tsunami affected areas, identification of relocation sites (2004-2005).
Planning Guidelines for the Development of Surrounding Areas of the Southern Expressway (SEW) Project SEW is being carried out by covering eight interchanges from Kottawa to Pinnaduwa, traversed by three districts of Colombo, Kalutara & Galle (2012).
Preparation of spatial layers for Storm Water Drainage Network in CMC Area (2012).
Completed the spatial analysis and presentations along selected railway stations in the Western, Southern, and Central provinces for the research study of Mass-Transit Linked Land Availability for Housing Development (2015).
Attended image processing to ready the High-Quality Satellite Imagery for spatial data extraction /GIS & Remote Sensing analysis for urban development (2006 to date)
Contributed to the development of a web-based application for updating spatial data in the Colombo Metropolitan Region (2015-2018).
Used GIS and remote sensing technology to conduct spatial analysis known as development pressure, sensitivity, space syntax, network centrality, and NDVI for the urban development plans in Sri Lanka (2011 to date).
Preparation of spatial layers for urban development plans that include layers for land use, wetlands, zoning, transportation, housing density, population density, infrastructure, and land value etc. (2008-2017).

Design, create, compile, and organize a geodatabase for the Trincomalee District Master Plan Preparation Project in collaboration with Surbana Jurong Consultants in Singapore.
2015-2016 Western Region Megapolis Master Plan Project
Investigate the spatial variance of the built-up area expansion in the western province using Remote Sensing and GIS techniques, including the preparation of spatial databases on land use, infrastructure projects, demographic analysis, and the creation of landownership databases for the Western Region.
2008-2010 Spatial Infrastructure Information Reconstruction and Monitoring (SIIRM) Project
Responsible for collecting and processing data for GIS application modules and Housing Reconstruction Tracking System, Pre-and Post-Tsunami Land Cover, Township Urban Management, as well as organizing and conducting training for internal and external users on the aforementioned application modules, in collaboration with the IGN France international team and the Survey Department of Sri Lanka.
2003-2004 Western Region Megapolis Master Plan
Responsible for creating a spatial database on the Colombo Core area land use for regional planning, detailed development planning, and project planning for the compilation of the Western Region Megapolis Master Plan
Completed the research study on “Remote Sensing based Spatiotemporal Analysis to Explore the Relationship between Land Fragmentation and Land Value in an Urban Area - A Case Study of Sri Jayawardanepura Kotte Municipal Council Battaramulla Area” as a partial requirement of the Higher Diploma in Urban Planning, Institute of Town Planner’s Sri Lanka (ITPSL), 2022.
