PROJECTS

FUNCTIONAL SKIN STAPLER AND DISSOLVABLE STAPLES, 2022-2023

• Designed and implemented a functioning stapler that fired a proposed dissolvable staple. Device was designed to address the inefficient and painful metal staple removal process in burn patients requiring skin grafts.

• Worked directly with doctors at Akron Childrens Hospital to create the device along with prioritizing proper documentation of the entire design process. EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUES PROJECTS, 2023

• Drafted and executed multiple data collection experiments using motion capture technology along with Instron devices to produce and analyze data using MATLAB.

• Individual led projects with corresponding presentations. Research includes topics such as: EMG, gait analysis, tensile and compression loading, etc.

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF CUSTOM DEVICE, 2021

• Recreational project to create and produce a working shift knob for personal vehicle. Design modeled in Solidworks and fabricated using resin molding.

• Resulted in a functional device that has been replicated for sale. EDUCATION
