Routinely carries out quality control analysis of raw materials, packaging material, in-process material and finished goods ensuring that they are analyzed accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain laboratory equipment ensuring regular calibration and servicing. Maintain the company’s laboratory quality records ensuring they are consistent with the ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System. Liaise with Processing Plant Operators, Supervisors, Managers and other relevant persons who may require analytical data for smooth plant operation and delivery of products to customers.
Prepare laboratory reagents and other solutions, as required, for product analysis.
Ensure that adequate inventory levels of all reagents, glassware and other laboratory materials are maintained.
Ensure the correct formulation guidelines for products are met during processing.
Perform various in-line quality control checks, including products and packaging for basic quality defects, batch codes, net content and organoleptic evaluation.
Monitor product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safe food practices.
