•Maintaining marketing database (ACT) by ensuring that any new leads are created and that we are following up with prospective investors in a timely manner.

I would arrange meetings between the clients’ management teams and investors. I assisted in setting up virtual investor conferences including creating and marketing the event. I also handled all the administrative assistant duties for the partners of the firm. I oversaw the database management.

This would include the number of airline tickets sold, total sales, hotels and cars booked. I worked with the managers to ensure compliance with our company as well as the clients we represented. I would prepare monthly reports for the clients and work on negotiations to obtain new clients.

In addition to being Team Lead, I was also doing the same work as my team. I would book airfare, cars, ground transportation, hotels, restaurants, and whatever was required of me. It was my job to keep the airfare within the budget or get approval for special circumstances.

I worked as both a Leisure Travel Counselor as well as a Corporate Travel Counselor.

On the Leisure side, people would come into the office or call in to make vacation plans. I would find the best price and schedule for the clients, searching for what suited their needs. They would book airfares, hotels, cruises, and cars through us. I would also put together itineraries that would be as seamless as possible for them.

On the Corporate side, I worked with employees of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. I was responsible for keeping their expenses within the budget. I would book all their transportation needs. Airfare, transfers, cars, hotels, etc., whatever the client needed.
