Doctoral Research:

“Biocomposites containing Collagen, D-amino acids and Phytosome Nanoparticles as drug carriers and tissue engineering scaffolds”

This work was design of heterochiral collagen-based biomaterial which prepared by D-amino acids assisted EDC/NHS initiated crosslinked collagen scaffold impregnated with prepared phytosome nanoparticles. From this work, I achieved significant results of improved mechanical strength (tensile strength,% elongation and elastic modulus), hydrothermal (denaturation and shrinkage temperature)and structural stability with porous nature, resistance to biodegradation, biocompatibility, and significant cell viability and binding affinity with cell adhesion properties and prolonged the drugs release from biocomposites.

Post-doctoral Research:

My Post-doctoral studies provide on 1) “Molecular modeling of collagen peptide crosslinking with D-Amino acids and Gallic acid” with improved fibrillar-assembly and staggered alignment of the collagen by D-lysine and gallic acid with lowest binding energy which prevents the free access of the collagenase to reactive sites in the triple helical collagen chains and providing the heterochiral collagen-based biomaterial. 2) “Preparation of collagen peptide functionalized chitosan nanoparticles by ionic gelation method with encapsulation and release of doxorubicin for cancer drug delivery with excellent anti-proliferative characteristics against Hela cells”. 3) “Design of photo-responsive biomaterials and nanomaterials for cardiac applications” obtained significant results on photo-responsive materials with improved photostability and increased fluorescence lifetime with high biocompatibility.
