Project Manager III, Sprint Account 2010 - 2020
As a Project Manager III, I have been responsible to manage Category B, C and D projects on major accounts such as Sprint Network Vision, Verizon, and metroPCS.
•Recently responsible for several major projects within Sprint,during 2013 – 2020, CSFB, 2C.
•Also acted as Program manager for all RNC9K Deployments in the VzW South region.
Nortel Networks, Richardson, TX
SR. PROJECT MANAGER, Sprint PCS 2007 – 2009
As a Sr. Project Manager, I managed and directed the integration of the Sprint Affiliate markets and the AT&T Affiliate markets into Sprint and AT&T Wireless.
•Managed the integration of several hundred BTS sites into the OKC Sprint MSC, over a period of 2 years.
•Managed the integration of Dobson Cellular network into the AT&T Wireless network in OHPA, Upstate New York, Oklahoma/Arkansas and North Texas.
Nortel Networks, Richardson, TX
PROJECT MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR, AT&T / Cingular Wireless 2003 – 2006
As head of project management, directed team of 16 project managers located across the United States, managing development, resource balancing, workload, job assignments and compensation.
•Conducted quarterly progress reviews of each Project Manager.
•Drove process improvement initiatives within the Project Management team, such as establishing a smoother flow from receipt of purchase order to equipment delivery, and final installation.
•Managed overall deployment of 3G switches in Cingular Wireless’ Network, which entailed organizing the required h/w and software upgrades to get each market to the proper 3G level.
•Interfaced with Executive level leaders within Cingular Wireless, through weekly Program updates which kept all communications channels open and showed Cingular which areas they needed to provide more attention and focus to be successful in their deployments.
SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER, CDMA WIRELESS DIVISION 2000 – 2003 Directly responsibility for leading a team of project managers, in the shipment, storage, installation, and network integration of Wireless Third Generation products throughout the nationwide markets of Sprint PCS.
•Managed the replacement of more than 500 remotely located Base Transceiver stations within the South Eastern Region of Sprint PCS in the timeframe of a year, and at total revenue of $370M for Nortel during a one year period. Gained a good experience with varying Site Development civil services during the duration of this project.
•Successfully led the deployment of a new 3G initiative in more than 27 markets nationwide through the US for Sprint PCS, which entailed organizing the required h/w and software upgrades to get each market to the proper 3G level.
PROJECT MANAGER, TDMA WIRELESS DIVISION, Richardson, TX 1997 – 2000 Responsible for the overall project management of switch and cell site deployments, within major cellular service providers in West Texas, Eastern New Mexico, Oklahoma and Alaska.
Equipment deployment and logistics were a major concern when working in remote locations of Alaska.
WIRELESS PROCESS ENGINEER, Richardson, TX 1995 – 1997
Responsible for writing the engineering documents used by engineers within the wireless division of Nortel Networks. The position involved the following responsibilities; working with the product development team, to integrate new products into the Nortel process and ordering systems.
SYSTEMS ENGINEER, DMS-100 PRODUCT, Denver, CO. 1989 – 1995 Responsible for the engineering and design of the DMS-100 switching equipment, per the customer’s requirements. Responsibilities included provisioning the bays and circuit pack configurations required for the DMS-100 system sold.
POWER ENGINEER, DMS-100 SWITCHING EQUIPMENT, Denver, CO. 1987 – 1989
Responsible for the design, and layout of power systems required to power the DMS family of equipment. Initial review of equipment was done to find out maximum required output of the power system to be designed. Number of rectifiers, size of power cables, bus bars and other miscellaneous items were engineered to the specifications of the required central switching office.
