Provide oversight and direct care of the church property resulting in in timely cleanliness, preventative maintenance, cost-effective repairs, room set-up requirements and a safe environment being provided in a successful manner.
Responsible to and under the supervision of the Senior Minister when unusual situations occur, coordination/collaboration with Property Division Co-Chairs and the Senior Minister.
My position provides direct supervision to part-time custodians.
Custodial: Clean facility using proper materials and equipment, resulting in an attractive environment, hygiene conditions and safety for all facility users.
Set-up for activities including weddings, funerals, and dinner functions.
Duties: Maintains and oversees grounds-keeping including:
(a)Sprinkler systems
(b)Seasonal items
(c)Care of sidewalks and parking lot
Repair and Inspection/Preventative Maintenance:
Completes minor building repairs within skills/experience level and subject to city code requirements including electrical, running of HVAC, plumbing, flooring, sheet rock repair, painting, and roof repairs.
Order maintenance and cleaning supplies.
Maintain records of facility and grounds contractors, vendors, and maintenance/repair completion dates.
Tracks preventative maintenance schedules and equipment inspections by arranging services by contractors and vendors needed.
Respond to extreme emergency facility situations when they occur by addressing the situation promptly.
