Tested potential new tools for durability, effectiveness and longevity.
Through the analysis of raw data, determined the locations where new Quality Audits should be performed. Shared this data with all affected departments and tracked the progress of all remote locations.
Performed data analysis on technicians so low performers could be recognized and retrained. Performed Technical and Quality Audits on Asurion and UBIF repair locations across the country to verify processes and procedures were being followed.
Provided support to all repair locations to include improved tooling and processes.
Acted as the Engineering ISO representative and maintained all ISO documentation and training records.
Project Manager, September 2009 – November 2015
Managed major projects that included the complete overhaul of all Engineering ISO documentation, the reorganization of the Engineering department, and the building of a new Engineering area within the Technology and Logistics Center in Smyrna, TN.
The most influential project was the Single Unit Repair pilot. This pilot was established to verify if phone display repairs could be accomplished in the field by remote technicians.
Created work instructions, a remote tool kit and trained 36 technicians in LCM replacement in New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia. The pilot ran for 90 days and due to the success of the pilot, Asurion created the Single Unit Repair program.
Created work instructions for every phone designated as a repair option. The program grew to over 1000 technicians across the entire country and saved Asurion millions in new phone replacement costs.
Operations/Technical Manager, September 2005 – September 2009
Managed the repair operations for the Asurion Repair Center.
Ensured daily production and quality goals were met.
Managed a team of 4 supervisors, 40 assistant technicians, 12 Technicians, 6 Programmers, and 12 Quality Control associates.
Upon the repair center’s move to a Lean Repair operation, attended Lean Training and was asked to take over as the Technical Manager.
Was instrumental in the development of the 4 lean lines which replace the old repair operations.
Implemented Programming and Testing stations that were mobile. This allowed the fast transition from one model under repair to a different model during the same shift.
Coached and trained new employees as necessary.
