DCS Maintenance Project (12 Months) [June 2010 - June 2011]

Description:

Dynamic Citrix Platform (DCS) to hosts & support customer’s Servers, applications and storages. The charter of this project is to create a proper maintenance process from end to end. This is a Global project involves multiple vendors, Customers, internal teams, and business. This is a high profile project with a team consist of 15 team members (Virtual team). I actively participated in company-wide forums and workshop including architecture review, technical evaluations business justifications with senior management team.

Objective:

With a specific focus on four data centers and the complete Dynamic Citrix Platform, including both logical and physical servers, my objective was to achieve minimal customer impact and cost reduction. To accomplish this, I strategically addressed key areas such as

risk management,

change management processes,

maintenance scheduling,

asset assessment,

coordination with internal and external stakeholders,

Senior stake holder management and communication.

Output:

The final product was successfully transitioned / delivered to the operations team and customers. Final process document was created and handed over. This was a major success story with customer satisfaction rating is 4.5% out of 5.

Server Relocation Project (18 months) [Mar 2008 – Aug 2009]

Description:

After the major sourcing program by shell to 3 bundles, there were needs for relocating servers (physically and logically) globally from other bundles or business to T-systems. This is an assignment to move servers from HP to T-Systems, there are 2320 servers involve.

Objective:

To relocate servers into T-systems support and ensure support team is ready to receive and handle these servers based on the customer needs and SLA. The major challenge here is identify the appropriate stakeholders, gather service information, identify the risk and clearly create responds, communicate and coordinate the relocation and create a process document. We need to ensure all parties are well informed and obtained support from HP to provide us with relevant support was crucial.

Outcome:

Successfully migrated servers, process document created & servers relocated successfully. These servers are now handled by T-systems. Achieved schedule performance index of 1.2.

Service Desk Report Automation Project (6 months) [Aug2009 – Feb2010 ]

[Budget RM80,000 Savings in total Euros 850, 000 per Annum]

Description:

Lead the team to deliver a high-end project to build an automated system as a strategy for increasing team’s reliability and capability. This system was rolled out to all 3 regions. (Asia; Americas and Europe). It was built to ensure reporting, score cards were done in a timely manner. Systems is responsible to generate the information from the database. Hired and managed in-house system automation software developer identified and developed relationship with key automation software platform vendor.

Objective:

The Scope of the project is to reduce time + effort for reporting this reduces the cost for the organization. Gather requirements that is necessary for the project, communicate with various teams, create a proto type, get the Teams feedback and develop the system

Outcome:

Produced a reliable and feasible system by the scheduled time saving the company time and cost. Through series of actions and detailed analysis of the project, it was successfully completed as per the expectation of the client.
