Quality Assurance - IT Provisioning Requirements and Testing Team

Converted from contractor to full time employment as a SME in year 2011

Converted from Verizon employee to Infosys Employee and worked at Verizon from Dec 2018 to Current

QA DUTIES:

Duties include Quality Assurance testing, Requirements Analysis, Solution Creation, Implementation, and Verification to meet the customer’s expectations, of Ethernet Data Services, VoIP/SIP and NGES in an Agile environment

Work closely with Internal Verizon Customer, Business/Development Teams, and Production Support teams to create Quality Assurance Test Cases.

Performed Manual Quality Assurance Testing by injecting UNI, NNI and EVC orders using pre-formed order xml.

Performed verifications of output using logs from UNIX box and switch configurations for Activation and Provision steps.

Notifying of errors to the development teams in a formal written Incident Report found during Quality Assurance testing.

Assigned to work Switched Ethernet Services converting Legacy network to Next Generation Ethernet Switch (NGES).

Minor part of my duties was to configure, setup and manage inventories from the UI for the switches to be used for testing, clean up port information on CISCO, Alcatel switches

Provide demos to customers and prepare step-by-step Technical Documentation manuals for testing and procedures used in Production

A joint project of USAir Force and Royal Saudi Air Force

An active key participant of a Line of Sight (LOS) Voice Tactical Radio Relay System project for the United States Air Force. (Microwave Link/ Band-3 1350Mhz to 1850 MHz with Ericsson RL-432A radios and Nortel Network equipment)

Active participation from concept to delivery which included: suggesting product line, creating configuration, implementing, and integrating configurations into the system for lab testing and validation, creating manuals, creating troubleshooting guide with details and flowcharting and onsite validation.

Project required the “ruggedization” for military use of the following Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Nortel switching equipment: Nortel Mini Meridian Option 11C PBX, Nortel Passport 4460, and Nortel Business Policy Switch 2000.

Switching equipment was integrated with Band 3 Microwave Radio equipment for a point-to-point communications capability as well as a radio relay capability. All systems were configured and tested to support a simultaneous combination of voice, video, and data subscribers on an E1 connection Microwave Link.

Project required gathering of information from the customer, conducting detail technical briefings and providing solutions and updates during weekly meetings, RFI, RFP, parts pricing and ordering, vendor management, preparing Build of Material database for overseas shipping.

Prepared test cases and plans for the USAF and US Government Inspectors for system test validation and acceptance as well as customer on-site system acceptance testing, installation, and deployment. Test cases contained of Microwave Link on a 2048MB, Frequency Hopping, and Diversity Hopping and in Auto mode using an Ericsson RL-432A radio.

Prepared a 40-hour classroom style and 40-hour field training plan for on-site training overseas.

Prepared Technical Documentation - Integrated System User Manuals and Troubleshooting Manuals for customer use with flowcharts and network diagram using MS Visio.

Led a team of fewer than 5 personnel at any given time.

Used MS Project for tracking purposes in the full life cycle of the project.
