ACADEMIC PROJECT

Name of project : evaluation of subgrade capacity of Black cotton soil by using Waste Iron Powder.

Objective of Project: The aim of this investigation work is to asses the different types of

geosynthetics available and to estimate the efficiency of the geomembrane and waste iron powder in the

evolution of capacity of subgrade.

Scope of Future work: The nature and behavior of soils vary from region to region .In this project

we look into the influence of adding WIP and geomembrane on the B.C soil and focused on increasing

the strength of B.C soil. With the geomembrane,rather than the WIP,other substitutes of industrial

wastes can be utilized as adjuvants and with Iron powder,rather than geomembrane,the fibers of

ultimately used as a soil reinforcement materials.

Roles and Responsibilities: I have performed basic soil tests and I also performed CBR test to

check what is the behaviour of soil when we add WIP and layers of geomembrane.I have played vital

role in my project.
