Established written operational procedures across all areas of the company. Audited compliance to such procedures via random walkthroughs to include wafer / chip design, proper use of production instrumentation, QA, proper supply/demand forecasts to keep production rolling and inventory control.

Responsible for all compliance audits worldwide and tasked with reducing defects in our over posture. Managed adherence to Customer and International standards, regulations, certifications and approvals for all of Cypress’s current and future products as well as internal systems and processes.

Deployed Audit Board to capture and maintain audit results

Established data privacy standards, record keeping policies and security measures to protect all personal data. Reviewed documented policies/standards on a quarterly basis to include regular audits to ensure compliance.

Chaired quarterly Cyber Security Steering Committee to globally share threat knowledge worldwide. Resulted in the reduction of product and internal security issues by 82% over a one-year period.

Worked with internal Legal and a 3rd party press release agency to develop situational external facing press templates if cyber incident became public.

Managed all IT and third-party Audits Worldwide. Included the following: FEDRAMP, ISO9000, ITAR and Reduced SOX Deficiencies from 40% to 7% in the first year of managing the overall process. 2009 – 2016 Cypress Semiconductor

Transformed the Sales and Marketing lead management process integrating the Oracle Eloqua Marketing / Salesforce.com platforms.

Created a standardized personal data capture and lead management reporting process that led to a 64% Increase in sales opportunities and a 45% increase in revenue. Included external website algorithms to pinpoint what customers were interested in and fed that information directly over to the appropriate sales contact in Salesforce.

Data Privacy Project Manager. Worked with Legal to Develop and Deploy a “right to be forgotten” process in accordance to US and International data privacy regulations. This includes the purging of data from all applicable software systems and desktops

2007-2009 Sr. Director – Customer Capture and Order On-Time Delivery Program Manager

Lead two-year Demand to Deliver project (70+ team members worldwide to work on overall sales customer satisfaction), identifying key strategic areas of improvement worldwide.

Trained and coached 11 project area managers to overhaul the overall customer acquisition experience in Salesforce. This included using Eloqua Marketing Platform to follow up with customers and report that information over to Sales Management and individual Reps. Result: 64% increase in customer satisfaction with an 98.7% On-time Order Delivery.

2003-2007 Director – Worldwide Document Management Program Manager.

Responsible for the quality of all internal and external facing documents worldwide. Established a document Sunset process that required owners of processes to update their operational documentation every 6 months to ensure compliance to industry regulations

Position Held: Senior Manufacturing Mgr.

Managed 7 of the 8 Cisco acquisitions from 1993 to 2002. Worked with acquisition employees to ensure a smooth transfer of internal operations and manufacturing capabilities.

Responsible for the accuracy and security of manufacturing data transfer to 12 Cisco approved subcontracted manufacturers.

Winner of the Giga Technologies Process and System innovation award for integrated printed circuit to factory floor pick and place machine bill of material data transfer to Oracle ERP and subcontract manufacturers. Reduced MFG / Design related issues by 88%.

Position Held: Sr. Manager, New Product Development / Information Transfer

Developed and managed the internal design and operational transfer of data from 25 PCB design employees over to the NeXT factory manufacturing systems / equipment.

Result: Minimized factory headcount to reduce labor cost by 44%

MACY’S RETAIL STANFORD, CA

Worked in the cashier’s department closing out the store as well as the housewares department. Also worked in my parent’s retail toy store at Stanford shopping center until they both passed away.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Mentor and executive sponsor for at risk / financially challenged students. One of Robert’s students, James Hill III, was mentored starting at age 13, until he graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in business administration. James was recently a participant (contestant) on the new ABC television game show The Chase, where he won $75,000 to pay off his school loans. Jay also sponsored the Cristo Rey high school program where he worked side by side with students to give them an idea of what types of jobs they can do and gain essential skills like presentations, ability to ask questions if they needed help and interact with employees and learn their experiences.

Robert is a top-level endurance cyclist who applied his same work ethic to his conditioning and training. In qualifying for Race Across America in 2014, he completed the required 404 miles in 21 hours, winning 1st Place in a field of 120 cyclists. Robert continues to volunteer his time and talent as a Cycling coach for the Lymphoma Leukemia Society of Santa Clara.
