Farm Worker
• Coordinate and work with a team of 4 farm workers in planting, maintaining crops and tending livestock.
• Operate various farm tools included hoes, cutlasses and spraying cans and perform harvesting with the hands.
• Apply pesticides to crops, weed of wheat and ensure that crops grow in optimal conditions, increasing crop yield by 89%.
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of 100+ livestock including pigs and chickens daily.
• Feed, clean, and administer medication/vaccination to livestock and notify veterinarian when serious health complications arise.
• Construct and maintain farm structures including barns, fences, and irrigation and water drainage systems.
• Conduct a weekly inspection of crops (vegetables, corn and beans) and livestock (pigs and chickens), identify and address any issues or diseases.
• Plan and make timely decisions to improve on crop yield, including when to do crop rotation, pest control, and irrigation schedules.
• Monitor and coordinate the packaging and transportation of farm products to local markets and distribution centers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work are, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and apply necessary measures to ensure safe farming practices.
