I have worked in the healthcare field for 30 years. The first 2 years as a C.N.A at a long term care nursing home with patients who were disabled, terminally ill, mentally ill, patients with Alzheimer’s disease and geriatric patients. The last 18 years I have been working in an institutional setting, with individuals who are disabled and range from mildly retarded to profound retardation, ranging from ages 18 to 87. Individuals ranged from total care to aggressive individuals with severe behavior problems. I am also licensed in the state of Indiana as a qualified medicine administrator since 1990. Two years I worked in the pharmacy distributing medications to 10 areas. I worked assisting the pharmacist fill orders and entered the orders on the computer. I have also been a supervisor in the past for 5 years. I was responsible for 35 employees, payroll, timekeeping, assignments, disciplinary actions and knowledge of all policies and procedures. The past 8 years, I have been employed as an LPN at Madison State Hospital caring for the mentally ill and mentally retarded where I retired.

I am a nurse with experience in all aspects of nursing. I am a very kind and compassionate person that believes the elderly and the disabled individuals deserve the best care and love that is possible to give them. I am currently looking for a full time Licensed Practical Nurse position on any shift or hours available. My goal is to find a career opportunity I can grow and stay with.
