WMATA 700 MHz Radio System project

– Lead and manage the Certifiable Items List (CIL) and work in partnership to improve technical and field processes of the $200 million WMATA 700 MHz Radio System project. HICAPS is responsible for managing the construction of 28 above-ground antenna sites, installing bi-directional amplifiers that provide radio and cellular coverage within the underground system, and upgrading all bus, rail, and police radios to transmit over a new infrastructure. ● Owner of the Certifiable Items List (CIL) that captures holistic project compliance and mitigation of all hazards related to work activities across a team of ~20 people; partnered with the customer and key stakeholders to create a revised, clear, and coherent CIL that was approved after three months of ownership, after more than two years without approval.
