09/2012 to Current Operator/Laborer

Exide Technologies Muncie, IN

I have been working in the Refinery Department on first shift as a laborer for more than 5 consecutive years. Previous to working on first shift in the Refinery Department I worked on third shift in the Refinery Department and in the Furnace Department alternating between departments for more than 2 years. Currently, I hold the third position of seniority for laborers in the first shift Refinery Department. With this position I have used my knowledge of the department and experience to lead incoming laborers about the responsibility of: safety, environmental concerns, quality objectives, and productivity goals. Most recently I have signed a job bid for a Refinery Operator position and it is undetermined whether the job will be granted to me due to complications with the person whom accepted the job bid. Even so, I have shown my determination and willingness to work with the Refinery Operators on any and every possible occasion in order to become proficient in the task of treating kettles of lead for casting into specific quality product. All while continuously concerning my work with the cost of chemicals required in the treatment process. I also utilize my ability to multi-task by performing any of the job duties associated with casting on the sheppard casting machine and monitoring the stacker for faults that need to be reset while casting in order to minimize production loss through stopping the machine. I regularly check the Refinery Department equipment and fill out all required paperwork. I also fill out Decontamination Check List paperwork for any vehicle or piece of equipment that leaves the plant from the Refinery Department in order to document our environmental compliance obligations. 06/2012 to 06/2019 Temporary Laborer

Attlin Construction Muncie, IN

I began working for Attlin Construction on Exide Technologies property because while I was working toward getting hired at Exide Technologies they were not hiring because the company was having an annual shutdown. Exide Technologies was hiring only through the temporary employment agency Labor Ready and after asking Labor Ready for a job I was informed of the circumstance. I worked a full shift of Laboring at an apartment complex and when I returned to Labor Ready I was told that there was a job for me working for Attlin Construction the hours were 7pm to 7am minimum wage. She continued by telling me that it was a foot in the door and experience at the facility. Also, she told me that if I still wanted a job after the shutdown and if I did a good job with Attlin the supervisor usually gave a good referral for good workers. That is exactly what happened. The first night working for Attlin I was in a man lift accompanied by an Attlin worker whom operated the man lift while I was instructed to sweep off the dust from whatever I was shown. When we went to break, the supervisor asked the Attlin worker, whom I was paired with, how had I done. And he responded with, "He doesn't quit". Which I made an effort to not stop the task I was told to do until it was done or I was instructed to go to break because I was eager to get hired after the shutdown was over. Some other jobs I was involved in while working with Attlin Construction was disposing of busted concrete in the concrete repairing process. After the cement was jack hammered apart, I was instructed to throw the pieces into a machine that would carry it away. This work was very labor intensive, especially being recently introduced to wearing a full face respirator through all of our work. Although it was difficult I did not stop because my goal was to be employed at Exide Technologies. 07/2011 to 05/2012 Inventory Associate

SMC Noblesville, IN

SMC had many positions that needed help and I always helped with any area that I was asked to help. For the first 3 months of my employment I worked assembling pneumatic actuating mining cylinders. Then, I was place in an inventory position finding parts for assemblers and stocking parts that were received in the mail. While I was in this inventory position, the San Francisco division of SMC closed and over $3 million of inventory shipped to our facility. I labeled shelves of new inventory and placed new inventory into the computer system on an ipad and on a desktop computer. Also, while doing this job I was asked to help with shipping because of a worker on leave. I performed this job for a few days until the worker returned. I periodically would be asked to perform tasks by the supervisor which include bringing freshly machined cylinders from the machinists side of the factory. I was also involved with building boxes for pneumatic actuating cylinders to be banded and shipped. 05/2009 to 06/2010 Infantryman

USA Army Hammond, IN

While I was deployed during Operation Enduring Freedom I trained in difficult environments before being stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan. Camp Shelby, Mississippi was an extreme hot and humid environment. For an entire month our Company trained in extreme heat and humidity. This intense training had made a significant impact on the men especially on the day which many men were given I.V. drip lines because of dehydration. One soldier had suffered a heat stroke and this man became unable to continue onto the deployment to Afghanistan. During this deployment to Afghanistan I was trained to drive MRAP vehicles. This requires a training course completion in order to add the vehicle to the approved vehicles on my military driver's license. While I drove on many missions in the MRAPs I also was trained and authorized to operate crew served weapons in the gunners turret which I completed many missions in this capacity as well. I attained a security level of secret and this secret security clearance allowed my involvement in multiple missions where my squad members were not EDUCATION AND TRAINING

authorized to take part. During the course of this campaign I coordinated with many people from different backgrounds and I prided myself on my ability to befriend these people and ally myself with them in order to get our missions accomplished.

Some College (No Degree): Sociology And Psychology University of Mayland University College Online

I enrolled in these two classes while I was deployed in Afghanistan on Camp Eggers. I took these two classes as condensed online classes which meant the time it took to complete the class was shorter so there was more classwork than normal because of the condensed schedule. I took Introduction to Sociology and Introduction to Psychology because I considered the possibility of the credits not having the ability to be transferred to a different college and If that happened I at least wanted to have walked away learning something I was interested in and a subject that will help me in life. I completed each course at the same time and achieved a B grade on the Final Exam which for each course was 3 hours long, half multiple choice, and half essay. I also achieved a B as the final grade for each class while all the time completing mission on Camp Eggers with the MRAP mobile squad as my main job.

While on leave from Afghanistan I vacation in Alaska and climbed 2 mountains. The first mountain was facing the tallest peak in North America. The first mountain was named Mt. Healy. I ascended the mountain to the peak in 2 hours and descended the mountain in 1 hour and 30 minutes. The second mountain was named Flattop mountain in Anchorage, Alaska and even though there was a walking trail for hikers I did not take that path. Instead, I followed the path that the skiers took and climbed to the peak the way I wanted to climb to the peak. As I had climbed the first mountains only days previous. I now have 3 wonderful dog and 3 pleasant cats. My Fiance and I have just become first time parents to an amazing girl named Aurora Jean LaRue whom was born July 16 2019. We moved October of last year to our new home in Chesterfield, Indiana. We love the town we moved to and have started attending a church nearby.
