My name is Grant Benton and I am Birmingham, AL born and raised. I grew up the youngest of four siblings with an incredilbe family. I found in High School a love for photography that lead me to end up pursuing a career in the creative feild.
I went to Highlands College and was trained in the Creative Arts. I have worked for Church of the Highlands and Highlands College for the last eight years in different capacities. I have learned a lot during my time there and with Highlands College. I have not only learned how to stay inspired myself but to keep others inspired and to push others to create their best work and overall deliver the best work to our clients. As Video Director for Highlands Students, I helped come up with new and innovative ideas and campaigns for the different departments we represented. We made content for Highlands Students, ONE (College Ministry), Motion Conference, Motion Nights, and Highlands College. We would maintain and continue to grow each brand to be relevant to reach its intended audiences on multiple platforms. During this job, I also would oversee Interns and Photography/Videography Teams at multiple locations. I would work with different departments to help brainstorm and lead creative meetings cross-departmentally. I storyboarded, organized, directed, and produced video shoots. I would collect stones and interview talent. Create special service elements and service openers with a mix of video and motion graphics. I began creating custom content for worship songs and services. As Art Director for Highlands College, I helped upgrade the brand and uphold the brand guidelines to help reach students, inform parents, inspire donors, and spread the message of Highlands College through multiple platforms and media. We would create video, graphic, environmental, audio, and radio ads. We branded different events within the college to be unique to the events, but staying true to the brand. In this job, I served as Lead Video Director and continued to do everything I was doing for Highlands Students, but was solely focused on Highlands College. This job made me grow as I started overseeing teammates and serving the Creative Director to ensure the brand was being true, deadlines were being met, departments were satisfied with our work, and the message we were trying to deliver was clear. Something I have found myself to succeed in is understanding brands and knowing how to relevantly and creatively communicate messages within different brands. I am a people person, but know the time comes for a creative team to put the headphones on and get to work. I have had the privilege to see how a successful creative team and marketing team can be run with joy, fun, organization, and hard work. I would love to talk with you guys to hear more about the company, see where the company is growing, and hear more about the vision you have for it. If you think we would be a good fit for each other I would love to talk more. HEY THERE!
