Traits such as an eye for detail and a meticulous nature are important for this role as the Engineer has to analyse various factors and calculations involved in ship and rig design. As the role involves working outdoors on the shop floor, within dry docks and on board ships to support production work in alignment with design specifications, the Engineer should also be physically fit for the job.
