PROJECTS

Engineering Design Class Fall 2019

Designed a robotic chime machine as a group of four. This project involved creating a CAD design, machining materials, Arduino coding, and lots of teamwork. Our group has the honor of getting to present our chime at this year's Imagine RIT event.

Science Research Seminar Spring 2018

Designed a theoretical support for a hyperloop in SolidWorks. Constructed a scale model of the support using a mig welder. Stress testing yielded a max load of 700 lbs before we couldn’t physically apply more force to the support. Lexmark Co-op Spring and Summer 2021

Designed a paper out sensor flag used in the new A3 printers Lexmark is designing. This project was completed using NX CAD software.

Lexmark Co-op Spring and Summer 2021

Created a circuit and wrote a program to automatically adjust the speed of a fan regardless of pressure changes, for testing purposes in a thermal lab. This was done with an Arduino and a breadboard circuit. Plug Power Co-op Spring and Summer 2022

Worked almost exclusively as a design engineer intern working with SolidWorks. Of the projects I worked on, the most notable project was retrofitting and replacing all the parts from a 5kW fuel cell test station to model a 15kW test station.

Multidisciplinary Senior Design Fall and Spring 2022-2023 Worked with a group of students from completely different engineering majors to design a custom ACS (access control system) for a customer. I gained a lot of experience working in on a project team and sharing our skills to complete the project.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Lexmark International Inc. Spring and Summer 2021

Mechanical Thermal Lab Student

Worked as a thermal lab intern over the spring and summer of 2021. Primarily ran thermal tests on the machines, involving taking them apart, instrumenting them, then reassembling them. Worked with senior-level design engineers on a design project for a new part that was needed. Plug Power Co-op

Mechanical Engineering Co-op Spring and Summer 2022 Worked almost exclusively as a design engineer intern working with SolidWorks. I participated in numerous design projects for hydrogen fuel cell testing stations, modeling the fluid systems for the test machines in SolidWorks. I worked with a safety control group as well to fully inspect a built test machine for hydrogen leaks. KEY SKILLS

● Experienced with CAD software such as: SolidWorks, PTC Creo 9.0, Siemens NX, and Onshape.

Limited experience with simulation modeling in Creo 9.0 (heat transfer and some structural analysis)

● Works exceptionally well in team environments.

● Very experienced with Excel.

● Experience working with machining tools including Lathe, Drill Press, Milling Machine, and Band Saw. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming and Diving Team 2018 - 2020 2022 - 2023

Committed approximately 20 hours per week to training, travel, and competitions while maintaining a full course schedule.

Developed concentration, time management/prioritizing skills, highly disciplined work ethic, and performance excellence to meet personal and team goals. Held four team records and one RIT pool record. Boy Scouts of America 2010 - 2017

Earned the rank of Eagle Scout with one Eagle Palm (2017). Served in leadership positions including Patrol Leader (2 years).
