Al-Fatah Shopping Mall Project – Lahore, Pakistan

This was a multistory commercial building with 3 basements and 7 above ground floor stories having covered area of 2500 square meters. I was appointed as a Site Engineer in this Project. I have worked from Jul-2008 to Jun-2010 as a part time.

The details of my responsibilities as a Senior Planning Engineer are: o To establish and maintain resource loaded detailed project schedule using Primavera Project Planner 6 to produce resources, manpower and equipment histograms for the project and corresponding S- curve and revise according to scope changes.

o To attend & coordinate site & client meetings regarding the planning & progress. o To prepare weekly and monthly progress/Look-ahead reports, perform progress analysis, schedule updating, monitoring, forecast and resource planning. o To update activities weekly, recording the percentage complete, earned value and remaining duration until completion of project.

o To perform comparison between baseline schedule with actual costs/resources usage and work performed. To revise the Baseline Schedule whenever there is a change in the scope or the Sequence of work.

o To prepare target schedules for internal use to monitor the project performance at different stages. o To prepare EOT claim for the project due to change in scope of work and change in engineering design. o To prepare look ahead schedules for interval use to set short term targets to achieve long terms goals. o To ensure the complete Scope of work is understood by the Project Team, Reanalyzing the pricing of the works in the B.O.Q. and clarify the definition of contract with the help of the Project Manager. Also, to maintain a healthy relationship with Client and Consultants through effective communication on daily basis.

o To update activities weekly, recording the percentage complete, earned value and remaining duration until completion of project.

o To prepare the Monthly Invoice of the work performed along with the preparation of the Claims induced due to any change / addition in the scope or the sequence of work. P a g e 3 3

o To prepare the comparative statements of the subcontract works, prepare the recommendations for the decision of the management of the company. Also, calculation of the work performed by the subcontractor and approval of the subcontract invoices. o To prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports keeping a true and fair view of the progress made on site.

The detail of responsibilities as a Site Engineer is: o To work as a representative of company for the contact with clients / main contractor, architects, consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors.

o Complete supervision of structural reinforcement throughout the project. o To prepare bar bending schedule of all structural members and to estimate the required material quantities at each floor level.

o To prepare the comparative statements of the subcontract works, prepare the recommendations for the decision of the management of the company. Also, calculation of the work performed by the subcontractor and approval of the subcontract invoices. o To generate claim as a result of variation and to revise the project value if there is any variation. Also, to measure and approving the work of the subcontractor PERSONAL INTERESTS
