•Exploratory research project collaboration between Florida State University and Texas A&M University.

•The project examines data quality assurance practices of research data curators at university research data repositories.

•Thematic content analysis was used to analyze the resulting documentary and interview data and apply scenario-based task analysis to develop DQA design scenarios, a model, and a metadata vocabulary of the DQA work of research data curators and repository managers.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Gender Prediction using Sound ( Python, Pandas, NumPy, Basic Statistics) May 2022 – June 2022

•The Python package Fuzzy was utilized to find the genders of authors appearing in the New York Times Best Seller list for Children's Picture books.

•Using fuzzy (sound) name matching, we searched for author names in a dataset provided by the US Social Security Administration that contains the names and genders of all individuals who have applied for Social Security Cards. Next, we aggregated the author dataset by including gender. Finally, we used the new dataset to plot the gender distribution of children's picture book authors over time.

Investigating Netflix Movies and Guest Stars in The Office ( Python, Pandas, Matplotlib) July 2022 – August 2022

●Apply the foundational skills in Introduction to Python and Intermediate Python courses to manipulate and visualize movie and TV data.

●We pressed “watch next episode” to discover if Netflix’s movies are getting shorter over time and which guest stars appear in the most popular episode of "The Office", using everything from lists and loops to pandas and matplotlib.

Credit Card Fraud Detection (Python, pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Kaggle) Jan 2019 – June 2019

●A dataset of nearly 28,500 credit card transactions and multiple unsupervised anomaly detection algorithms(Local Outlier Factor (LOF) and Isolation Forest Algorithm) was used.

●We tried to identify transactions with a high probability of being credit card fraud.

●Furthermore, using metrics such as precision, recall, and F1 scores, we investigated why the classification accuracy for these algorithms can be misleading.
